ARTIST STATEMENT

My work is inspired by sharp angles and clean lines. I find the building process very important and like to explore the many ways a single material can be arranged, such as metal bar. Creation is an exploration of line in space and the options are endless, however there are specific forms and angles that I am attracted to. When constructing my work, I play with stability and try to find a balance within the piece in relation to the surface it lives on. As I have evolved so has my work. I am now interested in surface and texture and want to explore the rough and raw aspect of working with materials.
